Here’s what we’ve shared in our #links Slack channel this week.

Ōura Ring — on Kickstarter!

Improve Sleep. Perform Better

We’re so excited for our client partner Ōura ring for launching their Kickstarter campaign. They set a goal of $100,000 and in under 16 hours they were able to surpass it by $50,000! Working with them was such a great opportunity to learn from such a talented team who were well-versed in the health and fitness industry. We couldn’t be more excited for their team and their continued success.

Midwest UX

Midwest UX 2015 programming is very much about UX on the frontier. Speakers and facilitators of our hands-on sessions and talks fit perfectly within that guiding theme. Attendees should expect to learn new things, but we also hope to spark more ideas that push beyond the limits of our industry.

Dealing with Creative Block by Dan Mall

A couple of us ran across this article written by Dan Mall over at Super Friendly. Dan gives us a breakdown on how he handles getting over the design hump or creative block that we all get into sometimes. Some of us in the office take a similar route that Dan takes, switching up different projects and/or work on different parts of the product that we’re working on. Give this insightful article a quick read or a listen!

“Creation is about inertia. Like Newton’s first law of motion, it’s most difficult to make progress when none is being made, and it’s easiest to make more progress when you’re already on a roll.”

Remix Mini

The World’s First True Android PC

Remix Mini is a tiny PC. It gives you a PC experience unlike anything on Android and an Android experience unlike anything on a PC

If you don’t already know, we have some huge Android nerds in the Funsize office. Ever since Material Design was introduced, we’ve been drooling over the design and interaction philosophies that the Google design team is conjuring up. The team over at Jide Tech developed this bad boy and we’re tempted to get our hands on one of these.

X-Ray Mega Airport

Motion Graphic Piece by Earth London

Earth London has been Mega busy creating CGI and motion graphic design for Discovery’s X-Ray Mega Airport — a five part series looking behind-the-scenes look at one of the world’s largest and most complex aviation hubs — Frankfurt Airport (FRA), Germany.

Here’s a fantastic motion graphic piece that the talented Earth London team help dream up. We ran across it looking for inspiration for an upcoming project. Feast your eyes on this intricate piece of work.

Chaotic Moon Is Building A Fitness Tracker For Wheelchairs

Written by Anthony Ha for TechCrunch

This is a huge win for our design neighbors (who recently merged with Accenture), Chaotic Moon. It’s great to see studios out there who are pushing the boundaries in technology and design while leveraging their resources to create such an impactful product for underserved audiences. Bravo, Chaotic Moon! Well done.

Principle — Animated Design

Principle makes it easy to create animated and interactive user interface designs. Whether you’re designing the flow of a multi-screen app, or new interactions and animations, Principle lets you create designs that look and feel amazing.

You’re thinking to yourself, “Holy sh*!, another prototyping tool? Bahumbug!” If you love Sketch, Keynote, and familiar with those keyboard shortcuts, you’ve found the holy grail of prototyping tools. We’ll be doing a pretty extensive review of this application soon!

InVision Boards

These guys are consistently pushing out new features in their platform, but we’re not mad about it. This new feature is super interesting. It could definitely change the way we present UI mood boards and style guides all within the same project folder. If you haven’t checked it out yet, it’s pretty impressive how they’ve integrated this robust feature into an already robust prototyping web application.

Lastly, this…

Only if you want a good chuckle.

Love you bye!
